Itinerary
A package created to give you the best experience amid the lavish celebrations in honor of the city of Cusco. Our activities and discoveries will be finish with the scenic representation of the biggest and important ancestral festival that the land of the Incas could have, the Inti Raymi, festival erected in honor to the Sun god.
DAY 1: 20/06
Your arrival must be confirmed and we will be ready to start our services when we will pick you up and transfer to your hotel.
The best option to start our adventure in Cusco is to start acclimatizing ourselves so we can overcome any inconvenience that the altitude change could cause. You will have a free day with such a goal, it is advisable to start with a rest in the morning and then take a light tour that besides helping you physically will allow you to begin to recognize the surroundings of the city.
DAY 2: 21/06 – CITY TOUR
Very early in the morning, before sunrise we will go to the astronomical center of Q’enqo where we will wait to witness one of the most important light manifestations that occur this special day of winter solstice, day in which the Inti Raymi was performed originally.
We have programmed the tour that we described in our offer as City Tour. At 2 o’clock in the afternoon we will pick you up to start this tour and head to the first archaeological complex we will visit, starting from Tambomachay (3700 masl), the afternoon will continue between the magnificence of the Inca architecture until arriving at Saqsaywaman, place that is considered one of its greatest expressions. We will return to the city where the visit of the Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha will take place to finish the afternoon in the Cathedral of Cusco after that.
DAY 3: 22/06 – SACRED VALLEY
The tour will start with the pick up from your respective hotel and then we’ll leave the city of Cusco, along the Cusco – Calca road. The tour will last between 6:00 am and 5:00 pm.
From Qorao town we will begin a descent that will take us to the town of P’isaq (2950 masl) first stop on our itinerary where we will visit one of the largest crafts markets in Peru, famous for its origins and rich traditions, or, in the same area, we will visit the archaeological site of the same name.
We will continue with our tour in the company of the Vilcanota, sacred river of the Incas, to arrive to the town of Urubamba (2870 masl) where the best of the Peruvian and Cusco cuisine will be a delight for our day’s lunch.
Later in Ollantaytambo (2792 masl), aqueducts, terraces, temples, streets and legends framed in one of the geographical points that harbor villages of pure Inca descent, which will be the protagonists of the last point of visit that the sacred valley offers us. Already at the end of the afternoon we will go to the train station of the town to take the service that will lead us to Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night.
DAY 4: 23/06 – MACHUPICCHU
In order to have the chance to be among the first groups that will visit the archaeological center of Machupicchu and avoid the large masses of visitors that later appear we will start the day at 6:00 am, half hour later we will take the buses that will take us to our destination of the day (Machupicchu), on the Hiram Bingham road in about 40 minutes. There will be a guided tour of two hours in the complex, to offer you some free time after that.
We will have agreed a schedule to descend, lunch and take the train back to the village of Ollantaytambo and finally be transferred to the city of Cusco.
DAY 5: 24/06 – INTI RAYMI
Very early in the morning we will leave the hotel to move to the posterior esplanade of the Qoricancha, where the first part of the Inti Raymi staging will take place – the show will start between the roar of the pututos (ancestral aerophone) at approximately 8:00 am. The show will continue in the main square and later in the Saqsaywaman esplanade to which we will arrive in a mobility that will be waiting for us, in a point that we will agree previously.
Once the staging is over, we will return to the hotel to finish the activities of the day.
DAY6: 25/06
We will transfer you from your hotel to the airport.
OPTIONAL:
In addition to the entrances to the archaeological complex of Machupicchu, you can make a previous reservation (3 months before) to make the following additional visits:
- Huaynapicchu.
- Machupicchu Mountain.
You must add an amount for these reservations.

Userful Information
USEFUL INFORMATION:
- It is important to take a break during the first hours of your stay in the city, in order to acclimate the body to the height
- The city of Cusco presents climatic changes, always carry a light warm garment and another impermeable.
- It is also necessary to take into account that because of the height, the level of ultraviolet (UV) radiation reaches levels of 16, so the use of sunscreen is very important.
- Remember to always carry your passport with you, require your visit stamp.
- Remember to check your train schedules to avoid inconvenience and dosage your time properly.
- If time allows, you should visit the hot springs of the town, and take a tour of the town, remember that this is pedestrian in its entirety.
- Depending on your interests you can pay a visit to the butterfly garden in this village, our team will be ready to provide you with all the information you require.
